Our client is a global manufacturing company and market leader in their field. We are working on their behalf to recruit an Afternoon Shift Supervisor for their VIC business unit based in Dandenong.

About The Role:
We’re searching for a motivated, hands-on leader with supervisory experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing or similar environment. You’ll lead by example and have the ability to maintain high levels of employee engagement. Your ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure, combined with your well-developed communication skills will also see you thrive in this business-critical role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of up to 30 personnel, including team leaders.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all WHS policies and procedures, and conduct toolbox talks and safety observations regularly.
  • Oversee daily operations of the shipping, receiving and logistics departments
  • Train and supervise warehouse and distribution staff
  • Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts and support stocktake activities. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and manage training needs to ensure efficient use of labour resources.
  • Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes to enhance productivity, reduce errors, and improve service levels.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate closely with transport, customer service, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure effective handover with the AM shift

The required working hours are Monday to Thursday 2:35pm – 11:15pm, Friday 1:30pm – 10:10pm.


About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with ERP / WMS systems
  • Ability to analyse data and reporting
  • Working knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
  • Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Current unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Certificate III or IV in Warehousing, Logistics, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse processes
  • Knowledge of safety standards in warehousing and transport, including mobile plant & equipment, safety auditing, and load restraints
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to walk and stand for the majority of each shift, and to safely lift/ move boxes and material.
